Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She has written fifteen books and is the cofounder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is an author, philanthropist, television host and the owner of The Huffington Post. After moving to England from Greece when she was 16, she received a MA in Economics at Cambridge University. First foreign-born graduate to serve as president in the prestigious debating group The Cambridge Union, at 21, she was able to take over the presidency. Being a conservative syndicated blog following her graduation, she became a voice of the Huffington Post. The celebrity she enjoyed helped her to convince several celebrities to contribute their opinion on current events, culture and politics. Arianna's fame began in 2003, when she declared herself an independent candidate in the California recall election to succeed Governor Davis. She also headed the Detroit automobile project that was fuel efficient. Forbes named her as 12th on their list of the Top Influential Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post on their list of the top 100 in the year 2010. AOL bought The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. She was then made the President of AOL's media group. It was comprised of several AOL owned properties like Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is the daughter of Konstantinos the manager's advisor as well as a journalist. She was very close with her father, but it was the relationship she had with her mother who formed her. Even during her formative years, she exhibited abilities to lead, and for this she is still well-known. When she moved to England, she was 16, to pursue her education and was enrolled into Girton College Cambridge. In college, she was a member of the Cambridge Union, a college debate group. As the third woman president, and also the first foreigner she served as the head for the Cambridge Union. In 1972, her Master's in Economics was awarded. After graduation, she began working as a critic for a newspaper column and as a host on television. The appearance she made in Face the music with Bernard Levin was also noteworthy. She started writing books and enlisting his assistance in editing.
