Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor best known for playing House in Fox's the medical thriller House. At the age of 18 in the year she moved from Wayne to New York City from Wayne which was where she was affixed to traditional Jewish tradition. However, very quickly she began to be engaged in the city's nightclub scene and made enough noise that she was noticed by the press, while also becoming aware of the devastation of AIDS. Eventually she used her training and fame to compose and write the musical Positive Me and was also in it. Awake in the Wild Side was her next job. Following the end of the series, she started appearing in television and film productions, initially in smaller roles. She gradually established her place as an actor.
