Kari Samantha (born April 28, 1967) Wuhrer is an American singer and actress. Wuhrer's career began as she was a teenager. Her most notable performances include Maggie Beckett, an actress in Sliders; and the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter Karin Noble (nee Noble), who works as an accountant for payroll and German American Andrew Wuhrer (a officer and dealer in cars). Her family has given her three brothers. As a child, Wuhrer sang at nightclubs and slipped out to perform. Following her studies in acting at the Wooster School, at the age of 13, she was a drama student at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Additionally, she studied in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the renowned Uta Hagen. Her birth date was April 28th, 1967 at Brookfield, Connecticut. Her mother is a payroll accountant, and her father, German-American, is a police officer as well as a auto salesman. Kari was born into the family with four children. As a teenager, she sang at nightclubs and then slipped away to do a show.
